For Apple TV’s first ever music competition show, ‘My Kind of Country’ - Hometeam came on to film 12 contestant background packages with our global network of best in class filmmakers.  We filmed in 12 cities across 3 continents - USA, Mexico, India, and South Africa - to tell the story of country music's cultural reach around the globe. 

We couldn’t be more proud of being a part of this groundbreaking series that provides a platform to country singers from around the globe—sharing that country music is a worldwide phenomenon.  They call it country music - but they don’t say what country…  “finally, a music competition show with real heart,” reviewed The Guardian.

The show – executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and country star Kacey Musgraves – is designed to find country singers who do not fit the traditional Nashville mould. Hometeam was brought into the show by the producers at Hello Sunshine and Done+Dusted. 

Hometeam worked closely with director Sam Wrench and segment director Lexi Shoemaker to set and execute the look
and feel of each of the global video productions.

In the show scouts Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton and Orville Peck search the globe for the next country music star. They each pick rosters of artists to compete in Nashville, Tennessee, with the winner receiving support and exposure on Apple Music.
